Today, we offer breakthrough technologies, including Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), High-Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy, Positron Emission Mammography (PEM) and AccuBoost®, that offer new hope to individuals who are battling cancer.
IMRT is the most technologically advanced and most precise method of external beam radiation therapy available. IGRT takes this technology one step further by delivering high doses of radiation directly to the treatment area while sparing surrounding tissue. Both therapies provide cancer treatment more precisely and with less risk, and both are beneficial for many different types of cancer. PEM is a special form of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) that provides a more accurate picture of abnormal breast tissue, enhancing breast cancer diagnosis, staging, treatment planning and therapy management while helping to avoid unnecessary biopsies and surgeries.
AccuBoost® is a system for providing the “boost dose” of radiation therapy for Breast Conservation Treatment (BCT) with greater accuracy and precision, further reducing the chance of recurrence.
